Welcome to Psychology 101 Re-Written Blog

Drawing on Dr. Mazzula’s 20 years of research, clinical work and curriculum design focused on the nuances of racial and cultural issues in human development, thought, and behavior, the blog discusses all things diversity and the mind.

The field of psychology informs many systems from education to Corporate America to our very understanding of how people think and interact with the world and one another. Yet, as a field, it remains largely Western, male, and heterosexual oriented (Mazzula REF). That means, Psychology has a long way to go to become an inclusive social science that can help individuals and organizations transform into their best version.

Through this blog, Dr. Mazzula hopes to create a culture of compassion and respect that will change how we think about diversity, equity and inclusion. The blog covers research studies, personal narratives of diversity, and upcoming events or programs where you can find Dr. Mazzula talking diversity. Stay tuned for upcoming blog on creating a culture of inclusion!
